Hungarian Ministry of Labour
Currently managing a major fourteen month project for the Hungarian ministry of labour. This work is focused primarily on the economic and social position on Roma groups in the labour market.

The West Yorkshire Employer Coalition

We have worked closely with the West Yorkshire Employer Coalition since 2003 and have provided them with a range of quality services:

• Labour Market Diversity - a how-to guide for employers
Developed a comprehensive how-to do Diversity guide for employers in West Yorkshire providing information on developing and implementing diversity in organisations. The Toolkit provided 'good practice' evidence from a range of employers across the region, and due to its success at the Launch, has since been re-printed and distributed nationally by WYEC.

• Community Links for Employers
Along side the above piece of work we also developed a tool for employers in West Yorkshire to promote the recruitment and retention of local Ethnic Minority and Disabled job-seekers. This project involved mapping the different communities across the sub-region and the community organisations which provide support for disabled and ethnic minority job seekers.

• The Refugee Job Placement Project
In 2003 we conducted a Refugee Skills Audit across West Yorkshire to identify the skills and experience Refugees and Asylum Seekers bring to the sub-region that could benefit the local labour market. The Refugee Job Placement Project was funded by the West Yorkshire employer Coalition and was extremely successful.

The Department for International Development

Poland- Training programme for Polish National Labour Office, in developing NGO led employment services to target excluded people into rural areas. Commissioned by Department for International Development 

Ukraine- Design of a major partnership-based employment-pilot based project, together with the Employment Service, in Lviv and Kharkov. Focus, on long term unemployed people into jobs, and capacity-building the Employment Service. Commissioned by Department for International Development

The Fair Play Partnership

We work closely with our sister organisation The Fair Play Partnership, and provide management services for a number of their current initiatives

• The Diversity Driver
The back to work company manages the Diversity Driver programme for the Fair Play Partnership. The Diversity Driver is a self-assessment tool for organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors to help them benchmark where they are in terms of Diversity and identify areas for improvement. The Programme runs across Yorkshire and the Humber and is fully funded by Yorkshire Forward until March 2007.

• Aspire - a Leadership Programme for Women in Yorkshire and Humber
We have now completed the development of our Leadership programme for women in Yorkshire and Humber. 'Aspire' is a two day training programme for women who are interested in stepping up to
the Boardroom table.

• Diversity Mapping Exercise
We conduct an annual Strategic Mapping exercise of diversity initiatives and strategies across Yorkshire and Humber to contribute to the Region's strategy on Diversity. To read the latest version please click here

• Enabling Entrepreneurs
In 2003 we managed a project which provided additional support for disabled people who wanted to become self-employed or start their own business in Hull. The project worked closely with local partners and created over 60 new enterprise opportunities.
